Sandy Honigsberg
CA Master Beekeeper
My fascination with bees began in 2016 upon installing my first two nucs. I was so enthralled! I read extensively, took classes, worked with my mentor and volunteered with local commercial beekeepers. I then entered the CA Master Beekeeping Program and in 2022 earned my Master Beekeeper certification.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. Combine that with my love of beekeeping and my bee business was born. I work with hobbyists throughout four CA counties. I meet with them monthly teaching bee biology and best management practices needed to keep bees healthy year round. My services include one-on-one mentoring, Varroa management and hive consultations. I also teach a variety of beekeeping classes.
I have over five years’ experience working commercial bees during almond pollination and queening season. I give presentations to local bee clubs, attend local, state and national beekeeping meetings throughout the year and am a past president of the El Dorado Beekeepers. I also like to take bee pictures.
