This class is for beekeepers coming out of their first winter. In this class we’ll take a deep dive into the biology of swarming. You’ll learn how to: evaluate over-wintered colonies; check for existing stores; to feed, what to feed, or not to feed; understanding swarming and signs to look for; Varroa control; hive management techniques to reduce swarming and ways to split a hive.
