Preparing for Spring

Springtime is tricky — for bees, as well as beekeepers. Expand your skills!

This class will be especially beneficial to new beekeepers coming out of their first winter. In this class learn how to: evaluate over-wintered colonies; check for existing stores; to feed, what to feed, or not to feed; understand the biology of swarming and what to look for; management techniques to reduce swarming and ways to split a hive.
